The Garage and Art Sales are on! Check out the details on the “Garage Sales and Art Sales” tab of our website for details about how to participate as a seller or as a shopper and to see the ads we have so far.
Check out the “Annual Picnic” tab of our website for details about the Picnic. It will be an Afternoon Street Party, from 3 – 6 pm. Note that it is not a potluck. The Association will provide snacks, soft drinks, and a keg, but we invite you to donate snacks and other drinks. Also, it would be great if neighbors would bring yard games to set up on the sidewalk or street.
As always, we are accepting cash donations to support OWLA’s activities. Also, food donations for the Pinckney School Pantry may be dropped at the welcome table.

In response to resident concerns, a pilot test of traffic control devices will soon begin in Old West Lawrence. This is very likely to affect your daily driving.
An information sheet and map are available on OldWestLawrence.net under the “Documents” tab. Please look them over carefully.
A hard copy flyer containing the information is also going to be distributed throughout the neighborhood in the coming days.
OWLA turns 60 years old this year, and we are ready to celebrate!
The Garage and Art Sales are back. Check out the details on the “Garage Sales and Art Sales” tab of our website for details about how to participate as a seller or as a shopper.
The Annual Picnic will be a little different this year. First, it is not a potluck. And second, it will be in the afternoon instead of evening. The Association will provide a birthday cake, other snacks, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Bring your own chairs and lawn game please!
Please go to the “Annual Picnic” tab of our website for all the picnic details.
For both events, masks are highly encouraged, regardless of vaccination status.
As always, we are also accepting donations. Please consider donating $60 (dollars) for our 60th (year), before, during, or after the event.

OWLA has an awesome event planned to celebrate OWL Day this year! Check out the details on the “Annual Picnic” tab of OldWestLawrence.net for details and suggestions.
Needless to say, it is not a picnic. It will be an organic event that neighbors can adapt to their own pandemic comfort level, and it will occur on Saturday, Sept. 12, starting about 5 pm. OWLA encourages everyone to show pride in OWL by doing something outdoors on your property that you enjoy. Or, you can simply take a walk to experience the neighborhood, masked and socially distanced of course.
Included under the Picnic tab is a downloadable OWL coloring page for kids (or adults) to color and display somewhere on your property for a scavenger hunt that evening.
