The picnic is right around the corner
We are excited to announce that the 2014 OWL Picnic will take place on Saturday, September 13th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mississippi Street (near 7th Street). This is an eagerly anticipated annual event that brings together all OWL neighbors for food, drink and, most importantly, community—the chance to see old friends and neighbors and meet new ones.

As always, tables will be set up for pot-luck dishes and we encourage neighbors to bring their favorite dishes to share (please remember to tag your plateware and utensils with your name/phone!).

Sept 13 is THE day for garage sales in OWL

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THESE UPCOMING MEETINGS:
Pinckney School. Sat. Oct. 4, 10:00 a.m. at the school. This will be a joint meeting with Pinckney Neighborhood Ass’n. Gould Evans architects will explain school renovations. Also, the principal and parent leaders will be there to discuss volunteer opportunities and how our community can be involved in our neighborhood school’s ongoing success.
OWLA Membership Meeting. Sat. Nov. 1, 10:00 a.m. at the newly renovated Lawrence Public Library, Meeting Room A (lower level). Brad Allen, Library Executive Director, will be our guest speaker.
